Overview

 

 

The Ministry of Culture of Montenegro organized a round table and a workshop in the framework of the implementation of IPA project HAMLET in the Hall of the Petnjica Municipality, with the aim of presenting the results of the territorial mapping of the Bihor area and the proposal of the cultural route established for this area. The round table was attended by representatives of local touristic organizations, institutions and municipalities operating in the Bihor area, who had the opportunity to participate in the formation of the final versions of the mentioned documents.

 

In addition, Creative Europe program and the call for proposals for European cooperation projects were presented to the audience.

 

The HAMLET project is implemented under the First Call of the Interreg IPA Cross-border Cooperation Program Italy-Albania-Montenegro, and is based on the promotion of lesser-known tourist destinations that heritage rural architecture and cultural specialty. Selected localities in Montenegro included in the project are the area of Skadar Lake and Bihor area, and the main activities of the project are related to the promotion of tangible and intangible cultural heritage, especially traditional crafts, with the aim of tourist valorisation. The Ministry of Culture participates in this project as a project partner and the Union of Municipalities of Montenegro as an associate partner. The main partner in the project is the Ministry of Culture of Albania, with other partners being the URI Research Institute from Albania, CNA Bari (Chamber of Crafts) and Puglia Promozione (Regional Tourism Agency), while the Puglia Region is an associate partner.
