Pugliapromozione and Hamlet Project: a month of light, colors and tastes in the historic centers of five of the most beautiful Apulian villages
Five free guided tours in the historic centers of five of the most beautiful Apulian villages. It was an October of light, colors and Apulian tastes, the one just ended. Dozens of tourists, travelers and onlookers participated for free in the five guided tours organized by Pugliapromozione (Regional Tourism Agency) as partners of the "HAMLET - Highlighting Artisanal Manufacturing, culture and Eco Tourism" project, funded under the first call for ordinary projects of the INTERREG IPA CBC Italy - Albania - Montenegro 2014/2020 Program.
With the precious collaboration of the local Pro Loco, the iconic historic villages of Bovino, Vico del Gargano, Cisternino, Pulsano and Galatone have been rediscovered and enhanced, also thanks to the distribution of typical local food and wine and the production of a video in each village that will serve, even at a distance, to promote its beauty. An initiative that is particularly useful in a time, like this one of the pandemic, in which restrictions on personal mobility make travel particularly difficult.
In addition to Pugliapromozione, the partnership counts on the presence of the Ministry of Culture of Albania (lead partner), in collaboration with the Urban Research Institute of Tirana, the Ministry of Culture of Montenegro and the National Confederation of Crafts and SMEs - Province of Bari. The guided tours are also being held in the villages of the other partner countries (Albania and Montenegro) thus implementing a common strategy to promote the territories.
